芬蘭瓦薩大學 Pekka Kess 教授蒞臨中興大學分享北歐科技行銷洞見:校友捐款促成國際學術交流 承先啟後深化學生國際視野

University of Vaasa Professor Pekka Kess Visits National Chung Hsing University to Share Insights on Nordic Technology Marketing: Alumni Donations Facilitate International Academic Exchange, Deepening Students' Global Perspective

 

本校行銷學系於2025年11月4日舉辦國際學術講座,由李宗儒教授邀請來自芬蘭瓦薩大學(University of Vaasa)的Pekka Kess教授(Dr. Sc., Dr. Eng., PhD)蒞校演講,本次講題為 「The Lifelong Learning Journey of an Academic:Sharing Life Experiences」,Pekka教授透過其橫跨歐洲產業界與學術界的深厚經驗,帶領學生理解北歐科技行銷、生態系、文化邏輯與技術導向企業策略等議題,啟發學生從國際視角思考未來職涯與行銷發展方向。

而Pekka 教授曾任職芬蘭、英國、美國等多家跨國企業(如 Kemira、Rautaruukki、IDESCO 等),並於歐洲多所大學擔任教授與研究者,累積超過300件碩士與 MBA 論文指導經驗,長期專注生產與物流、科技管理、品質管理、永續策略與區域發展等領域。在本次演講中,他以北歐五國(芬蘭、瑞典、挪威、丹麥、冰島)的社會文化與科技採用情境為起點,說明北歐消費者重視數位素養、永續意識、隱私保護、簡約設計與產品真誠性,並以 Suunto、Spotify、Bang & Olufsen 等品牌案例展示北歐企業如何結合科技、設計與文化價值,成功在全球科技產品市場中脫穎而出。在演講過程中,Pekka 教授亦透過互動案例讓學生得以模擬台灣科技新創如何進入北歐市場,將理論轉化為實務策略。

此次 Pekka Kess 教授的來訪,特別感謝行銷學系畢業校友的慷慨捐款,讓系上得以推動更多國際合作與交流計畫,包括:邀請國際知名教授來台演講、舉辦跨國研究工作坊、強化學生國際視野與職涯競爭力等。此類學術交流活動為學生帶來與「國際大師」面對面學習的珍貴機會,不僅提升教學品質,也強化中興大學行銷學系在國際學術鏈結中的能見度!

 

The Department of Marketing at National Chung Hsing University hosted an international academic lecture on November 4, 2025. Professor Tzong-Ru Lee invited Professor Pekka Kess (Dr. Sc., Dr. Eng., PhD) from the University of Vaasa in Finland to give a lecture. The topic was "The Lifelong Learning Journey of an Academic: Sharing Life Experiences". Professor Kess utilized his extensive experience spanning the European industry and academia to guide students in understanding issues such as Nordic technology marketing, ecosystems, cultural logic, and technology-oriented business strategies. This inspired students to consider their future careers and marketing development from an international perspective.

Professor Kess has previously worked in several multinational companies in Finland, the UK, and the US (such as Kemira, Rautaruukki, and IDESCO). He has also served as a professor and researcher at multiple universities across Europe, accumulating experience in supervising over 300 master's and MBA theses. His long-term focus has been on production and logistics, technology management, quality management, sustainability strategies, and regional development.

In this lecture, he began with the socio-cultural and technology adoption contexts of the five Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland). He explained that Nordic consumers prioritize digital literacy, sustainability awareness, privacy protection, minimalist design, and product authenticity. He also showcased brand cases like Suunto, Spotify, and Bang & Olufsen to demonstrate how Nordic companies combine technology, design, and cultural values to successfully stand out in the global tech product market. During the lecture, Professor Kess also used interactive case studies, allowing students to simulate how a Taiwanese technology startup could enter the Nordic market, thereby transforming theory into practical strategies.

We are especially grateful for the generous donations from the Department of Marketing alumni that made Professor Pekka Kess's visit possible. These funds allow the department to promote more international cooperation and exchange projects, including: Inviting internationally renowned professors to lecture in Taiwan, Hosting cross-national research workshops, and Enhancing students' international perspective and career competitiveness.

These academic exchange activities provide students with the precious opportunity to learn face-to-face with "international masters". This not only improves teaching quality but also strengthens the visibility of National Chung Hsing University's Department of Marketing within the international academic network!
